On Tuesday, in Pristina, the lifeless body of former Kosovo Prime Minister Bajram Rexhepi, who has been separated from life Monday, in Turkey, where he was being treated by strokes.

Since 10 o'clock in the organisation of the special state commission, in the Kosovo Assembly Hall, they have been paying tribute to former Prime Minister Rexhepi. Meanwhile, a comative meeting for former Prime Minister Rexhepi is also expected to be held under the auspices of outgoing Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa.

Homazhe for former Prime Minister Rexhepi will also host the Municipal Assembly of Mitrovica.

The burial of the former Kosovo prime minister will take place in his native village of Shipol, with state ceremonies.

Former Kosovo Prime Minister Bajram Rexhepi was born on 3 June 1954 in Mitrovica. Diplomo at Pristina University's Department of Medicine in 1979, meanwhile, completed postgraduate studies in Zagreb in 1985. By 1990, Rexhepi worked at the Mitrovica Regional Hospital as a general surgeon and endoscopic specialist.

As a doctor, he had joined the Kosovo Liberation Army during the 1998 and 1999.

After the war, Bajram Rexhepi was the first chairman of the Mitrovica municipality. He was also the first prime minister of Kosovo since March 2002 until December 2004.

In 2007, he was again elected mayor of the municipality of Mitrovica.

Later, he was elected deputy of the Kosovo Assembly from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, in which the political subject held the post of deputy chairman, as well as later, has held the post of Minister of Internal Affairs in the Government of Kosovo.

In 2016, Rexhepi had refused the post of Kosovo Assembly MP, saying he would no longer return to political life after resigning from the Democratic Party of Kosovo.

Rexhepi had later returned to the medical profession, but he had faced the cancer that he had survived. But in April of this year, he suffered strokes. He was initially treated in Pristina and later transferred to Turkey for further treatment.

On 21 August, Bajram Rexhepi has been separated from his life.

Rexhepi's lifeless body has returned from Turkey on August 22nd, days Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has declared a day of mourning.
