The mayor's candidate for Prizren from Vetevendosje, Mytaher Haskuka, has said his run for mayor of Prizren is a great obligation and responsibility for which from today they will start work on drafting their ruling bid.
According to him, the programme will be concrete and measurable so that citizens can assess their work.
After discussions with the Vetevendosje Movement structures, conversations with Prizren's sympathisers and citizens and finally following the support that came from the activists' vote, I agreed to be a candidate for mayor. Thank you all for your support! Candidates from the Movement ranks do me honor and pride, but one is a great obligation and responsibility. We govern, not as a privilege, but as a service to citizens. To us, governance is not a goal in itself, but a means to improve the lives of a simple citizen. Sovereignty is not for us, but a duty and a reckoning. Therefore, from today we will start working on drafting our ruling bid, as in Pristina, the programme will be concrete and measurable so that citizens can evaluate our work. For justice and prosperity, we need change. We need participation for development. To return the essay for a future with dignity for children, we need unity. Together for the change of #name!”, he wrote on Facebook.
