Greece continues the successive returns of Albanian immigrants who have entered this country illegally. From the beginning of the year until the end of July 2017, Greek police have turned 5.958 Albanians, down from 9,438, the total number of returnees to other countries. Number [...]
From the beginning of the year until the end of July 2017, Greek police have turned 5.958 Albanians, down from 9,438, the total number of returnees to other countries. The largest number of Albanians returned by Greek police has been in April and June with over 1,000 Albanians, while the smallest number of returnees has been in February with 500 Albanians, writes windows.net. About 120 Greek police buses have been used for their return, meaning that the broom against illegal immigrants from 1991 to today is continuing normally, as in other EU countries.
Penalties by Months: January 717; February 503; March 867; April 1005; May 791; June 1019; July 875. For 2016, Greek police expelled 10,386 Albanians, out of 17.663, the total number of exiles from this country.
In EU states, the demand for asylum of Albanians has become a separate problem. Over 40 thousand returns have been in the past year, where Albanians have broken the rules of residence, seeking asylum. In France it is thought that the number of asylum seekers is over 15 thousand. This has prompted France to react sharply, urging the Albanian state to take measures to prevent this phenomenon. The high number of requirements for Asia in France, Germany and other EU states is jeopardising the return of visas with EU states.
Eurostat Report
Albanians mark the highest number of citizens who have been denied asylum demands in countries where they have applied to take asylum. Statistics published by EUROSTAT for 2015 and 2015 list Albania first for both years regarding applicants who have been denied asylum demand. The largest number of Albanian asylumers is in France. This country has been named champions as asylum seekers. The situation became alarming and unaffordable by the governments of EU countries. Thus, during 2016 a firm policy of returning citizens seeking asylum was followed.
The return record has been established by Albania. During 2016, Albanians scored the highest number of returns with 42,642 citizens, maintaining almost the same positions as in 2015. During 2015 Albania has been the returns champion with 34.780 Albanian citizens returned from the territories of the European Union states. Albania is pursued by Ukraine, with 22. 635 returns, from Iraq with 17.065 returns, Kosovo with 13,040 returns and Serbia with 12. 245.
During this year's first three months, there are 7,150 Albanians who have been flatly rejected asylum demand, which means they return home. Meanwhile, some Albanians have succeeded in gaining asylum status. Positive answers have only received 390 during the months of January, February and March.
From the number of people accepted, defence status has acquired 235 citizens. According to Eurostat figures during the first three months of this year, 7,150 asylum seekers have returned to the states of the European Union, while those who have gained asylum have obtained the right based on some arguments found in the Geneva Convention, some because of humanitarian status and a third group because they have sought protection.
