The Albanian law, the debate over which it was cut in half at the government's last meeting, is still harmonising among the ruling coalition partners. Alsat learns that consultations have been held during the day, but no details are given about which points of draft differences are more pronounced. Officially, the government denies disagreements.
The debate over the Albanian-language draft law has gone into calm atmosphere and no problems have been presented during the debate. Further co-ordination is found to be needed in order to achieve harmonisation for the way the legal decision is implemented”, Macedonia Government said.
Meanwhile, law expert Osman Kadriu says the Law for Albanian envisions only Albanian advancement for concrete areas. According to him, the procedure for Albanian approval will not be easy for the fact that for this Law there should be compliance with VMRO-DPMNE as well.
Anything that comes out of the constitution then can such a law, even if adopted or I doubt it will be adopted with those demands, with those proposals will fall to the Constitutional Court as an unconstitutional law. Therefore, I think that even though warnings are particularly from members of the Albanian bloc in the government that there is consensus, that for this law there should be compliance with VMRO- The DPMNE, there will be full support, I think the procedure will not be so easy in adopting this law, and it is not surprising that the coalition of Albanian parties in the government can also come to question Osman Kadriu, a judicial expert.
The law on the use of Albanian did not go to the final meeting with the argument that it will be reprocessed and passed on to the government session after the Ilinden holiday. The official announcement stressed that the draft law has stalled in forming new bodies of the Agency for Language Implementation and the Inspectorate for the use of languages for which to define and confirm their competence. Long ago, Prime Minister Zaev warned that the draft would also be sent to the Venice Commission, while the law may be in the Assembly in parallel, but later complete if there is a warning.
