Optimistic that the country's prime minister will be Ramush Haradinaj, chairman of the Obilic municipality, Xhafer Gashi, who is convinced that AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj will succeed in having MPs' votes.
Gashi has said in an interview for Kosovo Pashi that he believes in the candidate vision for prime minister, nominated by PAN, Ramush Haradinaj, who he believes will be the right leader for the processes in Kosovo.
Yeah, I hope so. I hope and believe in Mr. Haradinaj's vision that he will be a future prime minister and push the processes forward. 18% 56” We have hope and hope that as soon as the state institutions are formed”, he said.
As for the AAK's decision to become part of the coalition with the PDK and NISMA for Kosovo, Gashi has declined to comment on this, saying it is not part of negotiating agreements because of the numerous commitments he has as the chairman of the Obilic municipality.
I didn't really oppose them. I am no longer part of negotiating agreements that will take place there. It's true, I'm a member of the leadership, but I regret to say that I'm very little active in this regard because I'm not reaching because of the many commitments we have in the municipality. But, above all, I've asked for understanding from Headship for reasons because the local and central level are two different governments”, Gashi said.
Furthermore, he added that during his mandate as Obilic municipality chairman, he has co-operated with all institutions, regardless of which political subject he has led with them.
“
Asked whether it would do better in the general elections the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo if it was to compete alone, Gashi said he does not want to speak in that direction because it has not been part of the process. Yet, he again pointed out that the first winner must be the one to have the possibility of creating the government.
Chairman Gashi seems determined to stay loyal to the municipality of Obilic, since he said he would not leave the municipality's work for any ministerial post.
He even said that in the future he thinks about committing himself to the business world.
No, I come from business. I'd love to be back where I was. To be closer to my business, to my family, and to engaging in activities. I didn't come to Komuna to make a political career. I'm not a political man, I'm more a man of the operational part, and I don't see myself in the future in politics”, he said.
