The head of the pediatric emergency department at a Nis hospital in southern France told French reporters Tuesday that it was alarmed by a wave of cases of poisoning children from cannabis consumption, said “Deutsche Welle”, broadcast Periscopi.
The local daily Nice-Matin said it was reported to five children under the age of two who ate cannabis.
One of the children was admitted to the emergency department in a deep coma and placed in intensive care.
In four out of five cases, the parents claimed that their baby had found and taken the cannabis into a park.
The mother of one of the affected children says she had discovered her son “totally motionless on his bed” shortly after returning from a trip to the park, Nice-Mati reported./Periscopi/
