Two Dutch citizens have appeared before the court today because of the scandal involving infected eggs sold across Europe.
Two men whom Dutch media have identified as Martin van de B. (31) and Matis I.J. (24), have appeared at the closing hearing before the judge in the Dutch town of Zwolle.
Both are accused of endangering public health by using harmful substances, Kosovo Press broadcasts.
The managers of the Dutch company “Chick friend” were arrested last Thursday, under investigation for illegal use of the potentially harmful insecticide in the poultry industry.
The Dutch company is at the expense of the scandal with the eggs infected with the fironal insecticide.
Millions of chickens have been attracted to European supermarkets because of fear of being contaminated by the fironal insecticide, which is popular for treating ticks, spiders, but is forbidden to be used in the food chain.
The World Health Organization (OBSH) considers fipronillus to be poisonous when used in large measure and causes damage to human organs.
