A couple of twins born together have been divided through an operation that resulted in success in Bangladesh.

Tofa and Thura ten-month-old sister were attached to the back and to the rectum before the operation procedure began at the “Medical College” Hospital in Buraka.

Tens of surgeons were involved in this complex operation, which is believed to be the first time two successfully attached twins have been separated.

Twins already need two more operations to restucuate their internal organs, the Periscope broadcast, reported “Daily Mail”.

Despite being 100 percent successful, the twins will still remain in intensive care for several weeks to ensure they are not infected with a fatal disease.
