In three and a half years over 500 doctors have left Albania, and in the first eight months of this year, their numbers have exceeded 100 people. According to the Doctor's order, this is causing vacuum in our healthcare system.
Certain specialists and services are starting to be missing.
Graduate doctors fail to fill the void left by the displaced. The number of white shirts leaving Albania is rising rapidly.
Just eight months of this year 125 doctors asked for a professional order, a document required abroad.
The migration routes have been taken by experienced young doctors. The president of the Doctor's Order shows that general doctors and experts in various fields have the same reasons to leave the country. The state they prefer to live and exercise the profession is Germany, due to easier access to health services.
