A Hindu woman and a Jewish woman have made history crowning what is believed to be Britain's first interreligious lesbian marriage.
The Mistry cavalry, from Leicester and Miriam Jefferson, Texas, married on Saturday, 20 years after they met each other in a course and had fallen in love with each other.

During the “Hindu” ceremony, the two daughters-in-laws were wearing traditional red and white wedding clothes as well as wearing wreaths of fresh flowers.
Calavati, 48, had kept her sexuality secret most of her life because her parents were religious.
And after receiving the blessing of her family, the couple tried to find a Hindu priest to perform the ceremony.
The couple were finally able to make a traditional marriage at the Chutney Ivy restaurant in downtown Leicester in front of their friends and family.
