BIKU is still working with Pristina municipality to grant permission for mosque construction

For the construction of the Great Mosque in Pristina, though it has been turquoise for years, however, for various causes the work has not been launched. Long ago, the issue was also debated in Pristina's Municipal Assembly.

Adonis Tahiri from the Pristina municipality said that, in order that all assentists who should be political representatives of Pristina citizens give their opinion there.

And Resul Rexhepi, secretary general at BIK, said that actually from that debate, to this point they're working with the urbanisation directorate to eliminate some of our businesses in the project that we've submitted with the request for permission.

According to the Komuna spokesman, political subjects' asganists in Pristina have supported the construction of the central mosque, while the issue has gone to the Urban Directorate.

We are not the ones who block our municipal officials who have been summoned to this case. I am not the one who has to decide whether to be the Glass, but our officials have the law in front of themselves and we are the ones who will stay on our heads so that they don't break the 34x1> law, he said.

BIKU representative Resul Rexhepi also says they are waiting for permission to build by the Urbanisation Directorate to start construction works.

The “Commun that has had a correct approach that I have to say with great satisfaction, it will also issue us permission and then the start of the works is expected, and now as long as it lasts, it depends entirely on the Pristina municipality's urbanisation directorship”, he said.

Officials of these institutions say they need less time to establish and remove any possible dilemmas for the start of the work for the Great Glass in Pristina for what international co-operation between the Islamic Community of Kosovo and the Pristina Community is not lacking.
