BIK addresses the believers for slaughtering the offerings

The Islamic Community of Kosovo through a media report appeals to believers not to fall prey to certain individuals in connection with the slaughter of the victims.

According to BIK, the slaughter of offerings is made according to religious standards and on licensed slaughter sites.

The BIK chairmanship has formed a special Commission, which deals with organising and overseeing the action for collecting tools for slaughtering the victims. However, BIK's leadership is concerned with the action of several individuals who are amassing tools from believers on behalf of the slaughter of the victims”, the BIK report said.

Furthermore, the Islamic Community announces the faithful and all interested ones who want to order the slaughter of the offerings to do so in their individual capacity or to order the slaughter in the BIC institution, “because to slaughter the sacrifice in the full sense of speech must first meet the religious criteria required with the provisions of religion”.

The word is here for the animal to be slaughtered for sacrifice. The arrangement for slaughtering the offerings also calls for meeting the conditions before them with laws in force to maintain public health. The slaughter of the offerings should be done in the slaughter, which meets the hygienic and food safety conditions preceding standards and are under surveillance by veterinarians and food technologists“, it is further said in BIC's announcement.

Also, the slaughtered animal must predisposed health reports and must be controlled by the veterinarian before the slaughter.

We prefer to the faithful not to fall into sensibilities by different individuals when it comes to slaughtering the offering, because the offering should be taken into account that it is a religious provision, but at the same time it must be responsible that the slaughter be done by respecting in general religious principles and hygieno-sanitary conditions”, the statement reads.
