Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali has said the new boulevard in Belgrade will be named “Kostare's Hiers”, according to Serbian soldiers fallen at the Kosare Battle, fighting with Kosovo Liberation Army forces, writes N1, Kosovo reports.
According to Mali, this proposal for the appointment of this boulevard was most popular with citizens.
They themselves have voted for the name of the new boulevard, and out of 167 names have selected “Kostare's Hiroes”, with 1305 votes.
Belgrade citizens have indicated that they have not forgotten the great heroes who gave their lives for their homeland”, Belgrade Mayor has said.
By contrast, Kostare's battle is one of the most glorious battles of the Kosovo Liberation Army and once one of the most successful in the recent war in Kosovo.
