Appeals up to 17 years in prison for killing Zenepe Berisha

The Court of Appeals has increased the prison sentence in 17 years against Nebi Berisha for the cruel murder of his wife, Zenepe Berisha. The event took place on October 23, 2015, at their home in Suhareka.

Berisha, who had stabbed his wife 20 times in April this year, had been sentenced to only 12 years and 6 months in prison by the Prizren Foundation Court. The pronunciation of this sentence had prompted great reactions, since it was held low, especially by the bereaved.

The Express newspaper, on the day the core had pronounced the sentence for the defendant, had brought a confession of Zeynep Berisha's family, who confessed their dissatisfaction with the sentence and the entire judicial process.
