The Appeals Court acquitted four KED workers charged with taking bribes.
The Court of Appeals has eventually given innocence to the four KED workers charged with bribery, confirming the decision of the Pristina Foundation Court with which they were declared innocent.
Esat Tahiri, Gezim Gashi, Yusuf Shlajan and Qamil Bekteshi in January this year had been acquitted of charging a bribe, while the prosecution filed a complaint with the Court of Appeals, claiming that the fundamental decision was not fair.
The Court of Appeals' College at the session, held on August 8th, after analyzing the prosecution's claims in complaint, described it as unequipped, proving the fundamental bias that freed four workers from the prosecution.
News of the Appeals' decision for KALLXO.com confirmed by lawyer Nike Shala, the defender of Gezim Gashi.
I inform you that the Court of Appeals has rejected the prosecution's complaint as unequivocal, while confirming the act of first degree. Since the beginning of the procedure we have been convinced of the innocence of our defenders because there was no evidence that would testify to the doing of the work”, Shala said.
Esett Tairi, Jusuf Shaljan, Qamil Bekteshi and Gzim Gashi were charged with accepting 2,000 euros in bribes from Xhemajl Ramadani not to argue in the process of irregularities concerning a cable through which the prosecution says the current was stolen.
