The American Embassy has a key announcement for Kosovars

The U.S. Embassy has the pleasure of announcing that starting in August 2017, it will accept K1 membership visa applications for Kosovo residents. Previously, applicants who were intent on marrying their fiancé/who is citizen/of the US and migrate to the United States applied for visas [...]
The non-migration visa of the K1 engagement is an engagement visa for foreign citizens engaged to US citizens. The K1 visa enables foreign, engaged citizens to travel to the United States and marry the US citizen/US sponsor within 90 days of arrival. After that, US/US citizen/citizen will apply for permanent status regulation (LPR) with the Internal Security Department (DHS), the US State and Migration Service (USCIS). After the engagement visa enables its owners to migrate to the U.S., this type of visa must meet some of the demands of a migratory visa. Child applicants who qualify get the type of visa K2.
The engaged US citizen starts the process by sending a petition near USSCIS. As soon as this petition is approved, the case is sent to the US Embassy in Pristina for proceedings. The Consultor Sector will contact individuals with the I-129 petition approved via email and set the terms date and further application guidelines.
All applicants will have an interview with the consul in order to demonstrate their visa qualifications. In most cases, approved visas can be obtained at the Embassy within two working days, after the interview.
The US Embassy in Pristina works to provide additional visa services in the following year. Please follow the Facebook Embassy's address on innovations and latest news. You can send your questions to: Pristina [email protected].
