US Defence Secretary James Mattis announced today that he has ordered additional troops to Afghanistan, ten days after the announcement by President Donald Trump to a reinforcement of the Americans in this country.
“Yes, I signed orders”, Mattis declared in front of reporters, without specifying the figures.
This will enable Afghan forces to fight more efficiently”, he said, adding that it is primarily military advisers, Ars says.
On August 22nd, US President Donald Trump presented his strategy for Afghanistan, the longest war in American history, where additional troop shipments and a higher pressure on Pakistan, calling on him to stop harboring terrorists.
