The number of road accidents as 7 months has dropped by 1.3%, the Statistics Institute reports, compared to the same period a year ago.
But last month, July 2017, accidents have an increase of 7.6% compared to last July. However, the number of accidents for this month is declining.
With the annual 4% down, there are also figures of accidents for the seventh-month of 2017, marking 30 deaths less.
In the seventh month of this year, road accidents that have occurred as a result of the driver's behavior increase over 80 times. The highest number of accidents has been conducted by the 25-35 age group, reaching 28% of the total.
In fact, this has also been the age group that has been most affected by the rigors of the Road Code fines and the shares of the Road Police against alcohol - related violations and overspending speed.
Compared to the same period a year ago, the number of accidents for this age group has dropped by 5.5%.
