The anthrax infection of the 4 residents in Permet and Gjirokastra, as well as another suspect in Elbasan, has alarmed health authorities.
Experts at the Institute of Public Health are in constant contact with their field specialists with the aim of controlling the situation.
There are four cases added to the hospital, 3 by Permeti and 1 by Gjirokastra, which are clinically with anthrax, but have not yet been labally proven”, says Silva Bino.
Head of the infectious disease department near I HOPE, Silva Bino says that this situation has been created because of no time vaccine of animals in these areas.
“Antrax is spread from animal to human and all these affected are due to animal non-excilization, or vaccine problems. It's already started, but it'd be good to be done in advance”, Bino adds.
Although all structures for taking measures have already been committed, Bino has an appeal for residents of the area as well as for veterinarian service.
“I urge residents not to consume meat from animals suspected of being touched and veterinarian service to take measures to bury animals”, appeal Silva Bino. / TCH.
