US accession gets support for Kosovo membership in INTERPOL

Minister of Internal Affairs Skender Hyseni has travelled to a working visit to America, where he has started a series of separate meetings with permanent representatives of several UN member states.
According to an MPB report, the focus of talks and meetings is the contractuality and membership of the Republic of Kosovo in mechanisms, institutions and international organisations of co-operation in the field of rule and law, respectively.
The “talks are largely focused on ensuring support for Kosovo's membership in INTERPOL, which is expected to be voted in during the General Assembly in September. Yesterday, Minister Hyseni, accompanied by the head of the mission of Kosovo in New York, Teuta Sahatqi, at special meetings he met and talked with the UN Permanent Representative, Ambassador Elbyo Rossi, then with Ethiopia's Ambassador Tekeda Alemou, the one in Bangladesh, Massud Bean Momen, and with Senegal's Ambassador, Fode <x1, the MPB municipality said.
At all meetings, great willingness has been shown to support Kosovo's membership in INTERPOL.
