The event occurred during the past month following many discussions about the virginity of the late woman.
Court officials in Tajikistan have said Zafar Pirov, 24, is accused of inciting his wife to commit suicide.
If convicted of charges, he could be sentenced to eight years in prison.
Rajabbi Khurshed, 18, committed suicide after 40 days of marriage since her husband accused her of being a virgin.
Premarital sex is a taboo theme in Tajikistan.
According to Khurshed's family, the deceased has been under tremendous pressure from her husband, and “has not been able to continue its life further”
Her family has added that Rajabbi has become the victim of “slandering and violence”.
