A woman in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, who survived several times rapes by a gang and then four acid attacks, has again been the target of an acid attack.
She was attacked outside a hotel while taking water from a hand pump, writes BBC, broadcast Koha.net.
After four previous acid attacks, she had been under police supervision, yet she was unable to protect her this time.
Two suspects who had previously attacked him with acid have faced trial but have again been released on parole.
According to government figures, there are hundreds of attacks occurring each year in India.
Victims are mainly women, and the biggest cases happen from their jealous partners.
