Although without saying a word, former FBI director and prosecutor with a prominent career without failure, has greatly irritated the White House and President Donald Trump, AFP reports.
Robert Mueller, 72, is surrounded by a team of more than 10 experienced investigators, among them a leading expert on the radical change of evidence against the mafia, an expert on money laundering who indicted a corrupt billionaire and one of the Supreme Court's most experienced lawyers.
Since May, these investigators have been questioning witnesses discretely and are collecting documents to determine whether there are links to Russia's possible interventions in the 2016 American elections and former members of Donald Trump's election campaign, as well as family members and possibly the president himself.
After naming this investigation for months as “shining” and “false”>, Donald Trump openly criticised “bob” Mueller, criticising his own justice minister, Jeff Sessions, whom he accuses of failing to act on the issue.
