Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, called on the European Union to clearly and openly say what is expected of Serbia over the Kosovo issue.
After the meeting of the Supreme Council for co-operation in Greece-Serbia in Thessaloniki, Vuciq said Serbia wants to know when it can enter the EU when all conditions are met, as with this people would be motivated and reforms would be implemented more easily.
He said he does not expect answers to the issue, but will continue to ask. Vuciq has added that everyone has clear that the biggest obstacle is Kosovo, and urged the EU to clearly and openly say what it expects from Serbia on the issue.
The “seems to be about politics, and the EU should tell us what policy this is. Behind various remarks about chapters 23 and 24 are Kosovo. If everything was in order in the matter of Kosovo, we would also be champions in human rights. It is expected to be seen what will be about Kosovo, but openly tell us what this is about, and by the time”, Vuciq has said.
He has said Serbia has no alternative roads and that it is on the European road, and that it is fair for citizens to know when they can expect EU membership.
