The United States has announced a $630 million aid to Yemen, Somalia, South Sudan, and Nigeria.
This announcement was made yesterday until American President Donald Trump attended the G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany.
While the United States is the world's largest humanitarian donor, Mr. Trump's proposal to cut external aid by more than 30% has caused widespread concern.
Total American humanitarian aid to these four countries, where the United Nations estimates that more than 30 million people urgently need food, is now more than $1.8 billion this fiscal year, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced.
Tens of millions of people in Yemen, Somalia, South Sudan, and Nigeria face hunger because of conflicts there.
