President Donald Trump criticised the media today again, charging that “is destroying democracy” with reports he has made about his son's meeting last year with a Russian lawyer, after he was promised that he would be given inclusive information about his father's rival in the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton.
The president made these comments on Twitter from his golf resort in Bedminster, New Jersey. He again stood up for his son's meeting, Donald Trump Jr., with Natalia Veselnitkaya in June last year.
President Trump wrote on Twitter that “Hilary Clinton could illegally secure the questions about debates, or delete 3,000 emails, while it's my son Don who is reproved by the fake news media?” Mr. Trump referred to enamel angels that Mrs. Clinton erased from her private computer in the period when she was a secretary of state, as well as saying that the media had told her the question before she held a debate with a rival within her democratic party several months before the November elections, which she lost.
With false sources and unidentified, false news is destroying democracy in our country! ” wrote President Trump on his Twitt today. The White House Correspondents' Association dismissed Mr. Trump's attack on the media, saying that “a press of freedom and independence is also critical of democracy. ”
