Outgoing Minister for Dialogue with Serbia Edita Tahiri says the dynamic dialogue had fallen in the summer period because of elections that were held in both countries.
“If we know, the dynamics of dialogue had fallen in the spring period because of the election that was held in both states, Kosovo and Serbia, as well as our suspension of dialogue for known reasons”, Tahiri has said in a proposal for Indexline.
According to Tahiri, this meeting confirmed the sides' commitment to continuing neighbourly dialogue between states according to European values is a good step in the interest of both states.
She says they will enter the concluding phase of dialogue, which will have mutual recognition between the two states on the main topic.
The next “in the next period will enter the closing phase of Brussels' dialogue, which on the main theme will have mutual recognition between the two states, to better stability and peace in the region, to speed up Euro-Atlantic integration for Kosovo, but also for Serbia, for the future of inter-state peace relations by ensuring the future in peaceful neighbourhoods to the new generations of the two” states, it has stressed.
Tahiri estimates that the process of implementing the agreements should continue because these are binding obligations stemming from agreements reached in Brussels.
The “is taking root in this statement to give an answer to Serbia's President Vucic, that recognising Kosovo's independence from Serbia is inevitable if Serbia wants EU integration, because good neighbourly relations between states are one of the key conditions for European integration for any state targeting the EU. I am convinced that Vuciq will recognise Kosovo's independence, even smiling, rather than laughing at this demand, because the alternative is Serbia's isolation and therefore freezing the laugh”, Tahiri praised.
