The Health Ministry decided to send insulin samples “Gensulin” to Croatia, exactly to the Agency for Medical Products and Medical Equipment of this state, after having raised doubts about its effect on people with diabetes.
Doubts that “Gensulin” often doesn't work out by causing major problems in people with diabetes because it doesn't level what is known as “blood sugar”, have prompted the MSH to send samples for analysis to Croatia.
But Inseyder found that the product in question is not sold right in this country. The Agency for Medical Products and Medical Equipment in Croatia (HALMED) confirmed this.
We can inform you that Gensulini is not sold in the Republic of Croatia. Also, HALMED has not received any coverage of security issues related to this medical product”, said Maja Basic, director of the HSMED Communication Department.
Bassic has confirmed to the Inseder that HSMED has received samples sent by the Ministry of Health in Kosovo.
“This quality control will be conducted by the Division of the HALMED” Bar Control Laboratory, Bassic said.
Endocrinologists Bardil Gashi and Luan Goula in November last year had complained to the parliamentary Commission for Health for Biosemilary Insulina. The insulin the Health Ministry had decided to supply to Kosovo patients affected by diabetes.
Bardhil Gashi, before the commission, had been harshly showing what he thought of the new insulin, writes Insander.
He said our citizens shouldn't be experimental animals.
I'm not against the company. I don't deal with them, but I've always said that with the Albanians coming to get an insulin right, even if you speak a very difficult word, they said we're not experimental animals”, Gashi said before the health commission.
He had related experiences with other doctors further.
At a meeting we had in Tirana, Dr. Agron Star, said he would never get into me, never will patients be supplied with this” insulin, Gashi said in November last year.
In the HALMED, they have not given any deadlines on when the results will arise.
“analysis will be initiated once full documentation is received. After the end of the HALMED procedures, the Ministry of Health and the Kosovo Medical Medicine and Equipment Agency (AKPPM) on the results of quality control”, Bassic told Insiderin.
The Commission for Health Chairman Flora Brovina has also reacted to this issue.
Brovina says the health commission has long noted the supply of this insulin, she says it is not known why it has been supplied with this insulin, except that the price may have been the reason.
Maybe we've learned late when we were in Endocrinology, so we noticed that it was bought insulin from Poland, it seems to me that insulin that didn't be used by the Balkan countries, and that is, it's exceeded them, it's been price or don't know what it was”, Brovina said.
Brovina has added that the Endocrinology Clinic has not accepted this insulin, but only family ones, but that they have encountered many observations and many patients have refused to use this insulin.
Brovina had indicated that even after the investigation of this risk, he was unable to escape the risk due to the large container he had purchased from the ministry.
He bought a huge container that put him in the market, and then it was a problem because he even entered the Houses of Health”, she said.
