Then they claimed that the crocodile had actually preserved the victim's body to save him from other predators.
His friend Andy Resmin said: “he was only in the water when the crocodile jumped into his body and kidnapped”.
Another native named Eet explained that there was a myth in this country of natives that anyone who cleaned up in clothes would do nothing wrong, but if he entered the naked water would result in an attack by a crocodile.
Police chief Inspector Tallisayaan Faisal Hamid, who is investigating the incident, said: “The victim's friends reported to the officer that he was attacked by a crocodile. That night we made a search”.
