Serbia's Kosovo Health Plan

Serbian health workers, who work and live in Serbia and who never come to Kosovo, will not be able to find even on the list of salaries of Serbia's health institutions in Kosovo's Serb population environments.

They will be given job decisions in Serbian health institutions in Serbia, while jobs that hold them hostage without ever working will be released and new people employed instead.

Slagjana Markovik-Stonovic, assistant director of the Office for Kosovo in the government of Serbia, during a visit to the Faculty of Medicine in Mitrovica, operating within Pristina University with headquarters in northern Mitrovica, has said it is about a profound transformation of the health system in Kosovo, writes Voice.

“Flasing for a transformation of the health system in Kosovo, responsible for transforming health institutions, a major joint project of the Ministry of Health and the Office for Kosovo in which we have been working for a year, and we expect this project to be realised by the end of the year. We are working on the growth of institutions, there will be 5 primary, secondary and theatre health health centres and will be of local and regional character. More importantly, the health system will be much more efficient, each patient will have the right to recover in an adequate way”, she said, adding that from now on, with changes to the health system the North Mitrovica Regional Hospital will have the status of the Health Clinical Centre.
