Scandalous: The Vushtrri Fortress is converted into a restaurant without the community's knowledge

She has shown that the Vushtrri Fortress has been given for use as a restaurant and that the Directorate of Culture, Youth and Sports has not been warned in this municipality.

Rama has publicly appealed to the director of the Institute for Protection of Cultural Heritage Monuments, Agim Grguri, to respond to the letter he says has not returned to him from day to day and explain why.

Unprecedented institutional and uncoordinated actions, which find application in a small number of cases, know how to surprise for the worse and hit at very sensitive social points. This time I consider that a field that needs more treatment and dedication has been hit by the city's physical and particularly young. The monument in question, which is ranked among the first in our country as the most exploited by citizens of the region and all of Kosovo, is given by the Institute for Protection of Cultural Heritage Monuments in use to return to the restaurant without my knowledge and without any warning that something like this is happening. The Institute for Protection of Monuments is officially addressed with a letter on why and how to give in to the exploitation of the monument, auctioning and all other procedures to its delivery, but they could not even warn or answer our request. Our director realized on the day when representatives of the Institute in question came to look for the keys to Kale. I also consider that in this case it was used in the most subtle way institutional vacuum and my lack of work for health reasons. I personally as director of the DKRS in Vushtrri and the institution that I direct, cross this action and we will seek support from all cultural heritage lovers to investigate and seek access to official documents as the law envisions access to these documents: ( No. 03/L-215 P A SERVANT IN DOCHENT E PUBLICH, 1 Peter 3: 1. In a publication of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of the date 04.11.2014, in which investments are presented at the Resauguration of the Vushtrri Castle, notes that the MKRS has invested 110 thousand euros and the US Embassy in Kosovo 350 thousand euros for this restoration. It is also cited that “Calaya, built in the VII century during the Byzantine era, is considered one of the special values of our cultural heritage that has survived various periods. This facility is on the MKRS priority list and is under protection. Our side wants to be officially informed of the basis under which the document is given in use at the cultural heritage facility which is under protection, to be used as a restaurant. We want to clarify a truth which for us is quite suspicious. Therefore, I seek back publicly from Mr. Agim Grgur, to respond to the letter I've e-mailed him because now and many days he can't get back an answer, ask him to address me with the legal points on which he's based on such an act, to let me know where that auction was opened that no one saw, to send me the contract and the other details he's trying to hide from us because we're going to insist until we understand that. The palace of Vushtrri is a monument that was used daily by young people and various organizations for youth treatment and cultural activities. This country was an example of how a monument is made by always serving citizens. This monument is maintained by the DKRS, which has supported all functional infrastructure, including maintenance, guide and so forth. A sub-protection monument that has been secretly given in the use of an inadequacy activity for the country in question considers it a serious violation of the laws in power and as long as there is respect for legal norms and as long as civic support is on our side, this monument will be met to all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo who can come whenever they are visitors and not as restaurant clients.
