Rensody known Kosovo (Photo) dies

He died at the Duren Hospital in Germany, Kosovo's renowned rhapsod, Agim Gashi.

Gashi has passed away after a serious illness, writes Periscope.

One of his friends, Faruk Tashol, has distributed detailed information on the life and activity of the renowned raposod.

Today at the Düren hospital in Germany, after a serious and long illness, the singer from Kosovo, Agim Gashi, who in cultural life will be remembered for hundreds of folk and folk songs he recorded starting with Radio Pristina discotheque, then in audiocassettes, CDs and video programmes. Agim Gashi for 40 years was present at concerts, at festivals, in family gases, in national manifestations in Kosovo and in Europe wherever Albanians were. His presence on the action to reconcile the blood in Kosovo is still in focus, along with Anton Cetta in 1990, where he by song helped unite Albanians about the cause of national reconciliation and the struggle for Kosovo's liberation. He left behind a wide performing event but also written texts. In this case, I am also bringing a portrait sketch I made a few months ago for our singer who is buried in Kosovo this weekend.

( Figure for artist) When a few days ago at the University Clinical Centre in Aachen, Germany, I visited Kosovo singer Agim Gashi, he was in a deep cosmetic sleep, with oxygen supply equipment in the respiratory organs. Everything seemed to be frozen. And legs and hands! His lips, eyes, and even his gray hair were frozen! Only the diaphragm that was heard during the breathing with difficulty led and lowered his breast to prove that he still lives. This was the only meeting he stopped talking to me. Looking at the downs and downs of his wide chest, the memory brought me back through the old years, when from the inside of this chest, the voice of singer Agim Gashi erupted as in concertal halls, as in national and family festivals, and in open fields where Albanians met for various occasions. Agim Gashi, a singer, appeared in the '70s. He, descended from Zegphoci's Malthia, reduced the oral wealth of the native Treva, Aklapi, and the songs he heard there, processed and lowered them to Radio Pristina's studios, to then scatter the pink towards Albanians, even beyond Kosovo's administrative borders. His train, earlier, had given two brilliant figures of national culture, such as political scholar At Stagjev, who collected, codified and published Leke Dukagjin Canon and singer Rizah Strellci, who convicted of national Albanian activity from the post-World Yugoslavia, dies in Nis prison. Agim Gashi, not rarely, sang Rizah Strellci's songs without knowing the author, even without knowing that Rizah Stralci comes from his triva. Rizah Strellz's name was long silent, while its verses were sung by Kosovo singers, mostly by Rizah Blaca. (We add here that Rizah Strallci's verses, in the distant year 1972, made it public to Becir Musliu and Ibrahim Rugova in the literary magazine „Pelaada“that was thus published in Pristina. Out of respect for State George, on one side to honor his national figure and on the other to let the people know that he was killed by the Serbian state (14 October 1929) why in the Church of Zymmi he opened the school in Albanian, Agim Gashi dedicated him a song on the 50th anniversary of the assassination, which he sang before a general public at a pause while the festival „Kosovoar is being held sings<3> in Feriz. He sang this song with a special passion because he was himself a teacher, right in the hometown of Gechowe, in Janjevo. But Agim Gashi's voice was interrupted after a several-year prison in the eighty years when Albanians sought Kosovo from the Republic. When Kosovo's voice for its name was exposed to the Republic in 1990, even Agim again appeared before the public, this time in the Conciliatory Framework, the great courtman Anton Chetta. He hasn't stopped since now. He sang and made song albums. Even in the exile where the storm of fate was carried, he sang songs about war and freedom, and with his voice monuments were lifted up to the mighty men of the new time, who made the word crack. His songs became part of each family, most of them becoming in Germany and echoed in Kosovo and beyond. But even the exiles with their eyes tired of homesick with songs. His singer activity touched on every realm of nation's spiritual life, even when there was a feast and even when there was a mortar. He performed wedding songs, songs of courage, and balloons that pained. Still sounds painful a ballad with sensitive lyrics; “I took the way to the sea! The sea is overflowing with Bjelka's heart swelling with tears! Crying and crying over this young man, for that young man who died in his youth left the poor one. So he sang a tragic event, the death of a young man in the Adriatic waves in Ulcinj, who on shore with tears in her eyes left the young bride.
