Reagon Rasim Selmanaj, here's how he reasons on the use of a car.

The incumbent mayor of the Decani municipality, Rasim Selamaj, has reacted after being criticised for using the official city car.
Selmanaj, through a public reaction, has indicated that he has not yet sworn as an MP and thus continues to carry out the duty of mayor.

He has clarified that the moment he takes the oath of being deputy of the Kosovo Parliament, he will also offer his resignation from the post of Decan's first.

This is Selmanaj's full response:

At the request of the CEC, I have declared that I will carry the MP's office, so I have thanked citizens for their support and joint work for eight years!

But I did not quit because until I swear to the Parliament I am not an MP.

Chosen yes, but not on duty!

So the way the law requires it, the day I swear, I'll offer my resignation and the car with him!

That's what we're waiting for next week, and until then I'm the chairman even though I've transferred the powers to the deputy chairman, according to MPL law and clarifications.

So don't worry until I swear, I'll give you thanks, but I'll use the car by law.
