Rama shares Vuciki's writing on Facebook

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama commented on Tuesday a scripture by Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, who presented his people with reasons why he wants to talk about Kosovo, and why he deemed it crucial, for the future of the Serbian country and people. According to Rama, the public meditation of the president of Serbia had given him a good taste, so he also decides to share it with his followers on the social Facebook network.

And this writing of Alexander Vuciqi, Serbia's newly elected president, couldn't have been imagined a few years ago, as you said, the devil is hiding in some detail and from saying it is in the middle of a whole sea... And Kosovo remains, just as the Serbian president, the Goranian joint, whose or not cut, through recognition or not as a country from Serbia I am adding, is also the clear choice between the darkness of the tunnel and the light of its exit!”, Rama writes.

Below Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's writing:

“Why do I pray to Serbs and other citizens of Serbia to talk about Kosovo and Metohija? Why do I judge them crucial to the future of our country and of our people? Why should we open up this subject when we are used to keeping our mouth shut and being against everything else, being that whatever solution matters is going to be a breach of the Kosovo pitcher in the head of any politician who dares to take that step while, on the other hand, everyone pretends to know more about Kosovo's work than what they really do, as if they have the hand of solving the problem, but no one asks.

So it is important, even more than ever, that we look into the mirror with courage and clearly look at all the thorns, wounds and shortcomings in our face, and try to heal what is possible, not to give up on self - despair because of the problems we face.

The time has come for us as a people not to act like an ostrich hiding his head under the sand, but to try to be true; not to allow ourselves to lose or to give to someone what is ours, but also to expect that what we have long lost will come upon us. When Shimon Perez was asked, the man with whom I have had the honor of conversing over and over again, why he insisted so strongly on talks with the Palestinians, he said: “Because he has to open peace scaffolds throughout the Mediterranean. And because it's the leader's job to know how to weigh the kind of freedom, as well as those who offer peace, weigh without stopping even when faced with hostility, suspicion, and frustration. Just think about what would happen if this thing didn't work. Today when the need arises to answer the question about the need for a dialogue with Pristina, as well as an internal dialogue, among Serbs for Kosovo, the last sentence of the above quote contains the essence of all this: “just enough to think about what would happen if this thing didn't work”. Like we could all shut up. If only we could give up the dialogue. I, after years of political activity in these spaces, know the answer. Since 1878, from the creation of the so-called League of Prizren, we have not wanted to show enough responsibility to understand both the power and the wishes of Albanians, but also the great mistakes of Albanians, so I deem it unforgivable to the non-conception of Serbian state and national interests, as well as their underestimation, or what is worse, the attempt to put them under the carpet, since anyone thinks that this is possible thanks to the support of great powers.

Despite the fact that in realising their national idea, Albanians have had considerable support from most Western countries, Serbia should not be underestimated. Today's Serbia is not scratched as it once was, Serbia is not weak as it was in 1999, 2004 and 2008, but Serbia is neither, nor should it be arrogant and irresponsible, as it has been not rarely.

To keep quiet means we don't care anymore, for nothing. To be silent means that we have nothing more to ask for. We gave up hope. That we're ready for the last option. Conflict. Inside us and with them all around us. Silence is a trait of those who think that only they are right. Those who don't want to hear anything. Those who have been convinced that they are the wisest, who have no more learning, who are superior in relation to others, and who have nothing to talk to. This is the operand of tyranny, always willing to shed foreign blood. After all, silence is the end. After that, no one says anything, and the only voice is a long, uneven noise. I cannot see myself silent, not even Serbia in that position. If this thing happens to be lost not only the politics I make but my whole life and the lives of all of us. And this is something I never agree with, without paying attention to those who think I'm very loud, that I raise many questions, that I talk more than I should.

Do you think what it would be like to act differently? If I were one of those who kept quiet and put people into conflict, in war? If only through silence had they somehow learned their country's geography? Or if I were one of those who, for a beating on the shoulders and the sugary landscapes that took advantage of one of the Western embassies, would accept and hand over all the Serb hearths and thus become, as they say, a great reformer.

The solution is not found on one side in myth and conflict, but on the other hand, it is not found to deny and give up national and national interests. The cynicism of Ambrose Bierce's words that war is a way for people to learn geography is a fundamental feature of those who are against negotiations and dialogue. These, like those others who give up everything, don't know where Kosovo falls, have never been there, never intended to go ever, much less live there, are unable to distinguish the Partesh from Pasyan, the Serbia from Shtrepca, Peja from the stove, but they were eager to start others in Kosovo to learn the bloody geography of their country or to give up something that they themselves do not know what it is. On the other hand, opponents of dialogue for Kosovo -- with Pristina -- are at what for any loss-win or other disaster -- rejoice as if it were their success, since they do not recognise any other success. Their reasoning about this kind of inaction, which is in its historic crime, given the weight of questions that require answers, is based on the futile hope that someone, once in the end, will have to say “to Kosovo” and for this, to their satisfaction, will bear the consequences. I can see that from the standpoint of the day's policy, but from a historical standpoint, there is no excuse, no logic. Since this is the most difficult question to ask, based on exactly what it is to us, that is why it is necessary as never before that we all find an answer together. An answer that will be sustainable, which excludes conflict as option and will serve all of us living in these parts.

As president of the Republic, I would like to try to solve our conflicts once and for all, if possible, if nothing then. This had to be one of those numerous, common, non-realalizations for Serbs and Albanians. Finding a solution requires angry heads from constant scars, cold blood, and heart free from excessive emotions and hands stained by compromises. For both our part and the Albanians.

Similarly, again according to Shimon Peres' recipe, this requires that we, whose history has forgiven nothing but blood and wars, finally hire our biggest resource, mind and, thus, find the solution. It requires the hard work of all, with a clear conscience that what we are doing is a long, complex and often painful process but that previously requires a kind of change in our common collective conscience, which, often, every agreement experiences as a loss. Just fine, that's not correct.

There is nothing great that we have won with war and lost in peace. Since all that we have gained and lost in war we have paid for at the highest price it can be done, at a price you can make up for. With our lives, the lives of our children. So this has to end. The time has come for Serbia to work, think, win, benefit without entering the conflict. I'm convinced we're able, from today, to do this. In other words, think about what we can accomplish. And for that, you shouldn't be silent.

All ways of political co-operation and economic progress would be opened for Serbia. So are the doors of the European Union. Otherwise, we will remain in conflict, the sense of which no longer makes sense, and we will continue to fight as before, both side and side, indiscriminately. The consequences? Whoever makes a difference about the consequences, they will be dealt with by someone else in the future.

In the end for the heroes of the first wars, as well as for the palm-handed and generous ones who have generously given to others what belongs to Serbs, I judge that Serbia needs a serious and responsible approach, real courage, with the eyes of the future, and not being listed at the end according to the upcoming elections. Serbia has the courage to live and fight for the future.

Serbia today is a country of weight worldwide, three years ago Serbia was on the verge of bankruptcy, while today its budget is in a surplus -- economic growth higher than the average in Europe -- so Serbia has shown it has won. Not only in basketball and water polo, but also in economics and politics.

In order for our progress to be consistent and sustainable, if not, we should at least try to resolve the Kosovo's (ordyan) knot rather than hide and leave the biggest burden on our children. To live means to love the place where children are caught and not just to praise their grandparents. ”
