Jared Kouchner, the son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, will meet with members of the Senate for Intelligence Committee today as part of the investigation into possible links between Russia and Trump's presidential campaign in 2016.
Kouchner's closed-door meeting with the Senate panel will be delivered with another private session to the Intelligence Committee.
According to Democrat Adam Schiff, Kouchner, 36, will answer for his meetings with Russia's ambassador to Washington, the leader of a Russian bank and a Russian lawyer.
There are a lot of things we want to know”, Schiff told CBS television.
“We want to know about some meetings that are supposed to have occurred”, he said.
Anthony Scaramucci, the new communications director at the White House, has said he hopes this will be the last <x0 length of time he has to talk about Russia”.
Congress investigations are being investigated by investigation by Robert Muller, who was assigned by the Department of Justice to investigate whether there was any co-ordination between President Trump's campaign and Russian agents in the 2016 presidential election.
