Vucic also said Serbia did not receive an invitation to participate in marking the anniversary at Potocari, and that those who went from Serbia last days “could say genocide occurred there”.
However, Vucic stated that his “age, like that of the prime minister and the foreign minister, is binding on him while what is discussed here is judicial formula”.
“There has been a terrible crime and I hope that we have learned lessons like from Bratunac, (Operation) Storm, not to mention the worst of all { Jasenovac”, he said, referring to crimes committed against Serbs in the 1990s in eastern Bosnia and Croatia, as well as during World War II again in Croatia, the Periscope broadcast.
According to him, the “key is that for such a big crime it should never happen for any people, we should look for the future” ) while he further said that “80 or 90 per cent of Serbian citizens do not think a major crime was committed at Srebrenica”.
The president believes that the relations of Serbs and Bosniaks are crucial to the future of both nationalities, while he “will work sincerely on this, maintaining Serbian national and state interests”.
He said that new generations, including his son Danilo, disagree with him.
Danillo will tell me everything was good, except for Srebrenica. I'll tell him to wait five more years and he'll think differently... when I was young I was probably worse than him,” Vuciq said, adding that the “only the donkey never changes”./Periscopi/
