The following came the full police announcement:
By 27.06.2017 at 4:20 p.m., the Regional Police Directorate in Gjakova has received information from a citizen that one person has jumped off the river's shore near the High Bridge and the same one allegedly sunk.
Police are on the scene and have announced all relevant units regarding the case.
At the scene, teams for search and rescue from KSF have responded very quickly, then several volunteer teams from the village of Fsej, Mitrovica divers' team, the Gjakova fire crew, and the medical team from the Gjakova regional hospital, always supported by police officials from Gjakova and Rahoveci.
After an intensive job today with the date 01.07.2017 at 3:10 p.m., the KSF team managed to extract the lifeless body of the 50-year-old S.G.-old man from Gjakova, the body of the deceased was found near the bridge where the allegations were.
At the order of the state prosecutor, the victim will be sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine for Obligation.
