Pacolli's comprehensive government proposal is rejected by VV and AAK

He has said his agreement envisions the creation of a one-year-long comprehensive government that would conclude some topics Kosovo has in front of itself. But Pacolli's idea has been rejected by the Vetevendosje Movement! And AAK.

MP Vetevendosje Movement! , Sami Kurteshi, told the newspaper “The new age” that, under no current circumstances, neither political, economic, nor social, nor religious, ethnic, nor linguistic, requires nor allows a conventional governmental system in Kosovo. “Such a system, ahead of a false unity for the division of positions, requires the separation of responsibilities and jobs between different entities and social groups, following the clear division of responsibilities for failures in state building. A system of full reconciliation requires the fulfillment of the preconditions necessary for such a system, reconciliation with justice, meaning without impunity. Kosovo is not under such circumstances. Kosovo can and should create such circumstances in the future, which we need and can create, in a bright future”, Kurteshi has said.

Even AAK deputy Pal Lekaj has rejected Pacolli's proposal for a sweeping government, where he has initially sought to hold a joint table with all political leaders.

The application of political subjects, in this case even of Mr. Pacolli, we think that now the country requires the quickest formation of institutions and we don't have time for such tables to prolong the processes. So, Mr. Haradinaj, earlier invited political subjects to meet and discuss, so that we can have a broader support of the government, but so far we regret to say that we are far removed from what we wanted. Now Mr. Haradinaj is determined to form institutions at the shortest possible time, respectively, because the country no longer expects”, Lekaj has said.
