Judge Jelena Krivokapiq has stated that she and her colleagues judges and prosecutors have no information regarding the date of the start of the integrated judiciary's operation, that they do not know the reasons for not implementing the agreement and that they are currently working on reduced capacity.
Failure to implement the Brussels Agreement for the integration of Serbian judges and prosecutors into the Kosovo justice system, reached in February 2015, has mostly hit Serb citizens of northern Kosovo who cannot realise their right. Failure to implement the Brussels Agreement for Integrated judiciary is a problem for the Serb community in Kosovo, and efforts must be made to make the agreement concrete.
Those comments have been made by the judge at the Constitutional Court in northern Mitrovica, Jelena Krivokapiq in a debate that has organised the Centre for Presentation of Democratic Culture, ACDC, north of Mitrovica.
She said that since January her fellow judges and prosecutors have no information regarding the starting date of the functioning of the integrated judiciary, that no one tells them anything, that they do not know the reasons for not implementing the Agreement for the integration of Serbian judges and prosecutors into the Kosovo justice system, and that they are working on reduced capacity.
