Lutfi Haziri meets Anamorawa political prisoners

The mayor of Gjilan municipality, Lutfi Haziri, at a working meeting has hosted the mayor of the Kamenica municipality, and the heads of the Political Prisoners' associations from the Anamorawa municipalities, who have specifically talked about the state of the investigative prison, or the notorious Gjilan prison, which was closed on June 15th of this year [...]
I thank the association of prisoners who are alive today because on their sacrifice, on their war and ideals, we are inspired and today we are enjoying freedom. These are the living heroes of Kosovo, despite our respect and kneeling for the heroes and martyrs of the homeland”, Mayor Haziri has said.
And as for the notorious prison that is now located in the city center of Gjilan, President Haziri has presented two issues that have been discussed jointly.
We've talked today about the possibility of determining final destination, or exploiting the Gjilan prison facility and the possibility of restoring a part towards preserving a piece to be used for historical memory and use by generations and people coming to the future”
It's going to turn and change history. This was prison that, in addition to severe treatment and constant torture, many people have not been released alive. Their blood made light today, but it must be preserved that light coming out of that object that was notorious in the past, but in the future will be turned into an object that serves history and the future”, Chairman Haziri said.
Chief Sadiku chairman of the Political Prisoners Association has thanked Mayor Haziri for the commitment and work he has done for opening the most notorious prison for visitors.
Gjilan's “Burgu for the way he treated the prisoners at the time of understanding from the years of '40s until the end of the 99 war, is known as the most notorious prison. High intellectual, patriotic personalities have been overcome in this prison, and for all it was unprecedented torture. A large number of Albanian National Democratic Movement” has been imprisoned here, he said.
