The former commander of the Drenica area, Sami Lushtaku, has been acquitted yesterday of all counts of war crimes for which he was sentenced to 12 years in prison by the Constitutional Court in North Mitrovica.
Speaking about his return to political activities, Lushtaku stressed that he will not leave politics, and that he does not believe he will be reruned for the mayor of Scikyright.
I won't leave politics, but I won't be anywhere near or far. About my return to the mayor I don't think such a thing will happen, Lushtaku said.
