The unfortunate parents, who lost their two sons in an automobile accident, are already the most fortunate parents, since two twin boys came into their lives.
Gentry and Hadley Eddings waited for the arrival of Isaiah Dobbs and Amos Reed on Monday. The names of two children have special meaning for them because the two sons who lost their lives were called Doobbs, who was only two years old and Reed, who was only eight months in the womb.
Both parents were 28 years old on their darkest day of life. Matthew truck driver Blair Deans, also 28, was sentenced to prison because according to expertise he had lost sight of the way. The Eddings has forgiven the driver who became the cause of losing two boys by saying: “We hope that we will keep our hands tied when we go to heaven, all together with our boys” Matthew was released from prison in November after serving the community for about a year.
The announcement of the new pregnancy was posted on the social Facebook network earlier this year, with the message: “All of you have helped us with your prayers and we are very grateful! Now we'd like you to add two more Eddings to your prayers. We wait twins this summer”
The couple say that fate has helped them to spend these two bitter years. Gentry works at Forest Hills Church in Charlotte, and Hadley is a pre-school teacher in the church.
After the tragedy in 2015 they said:
God has our children in a peaceful place, so we are in a peaceful place. God has a plan. This is a very serious situation. We don't want to be here. We don't like it. Not a pleasant situation at all. We're terribly upset about our loss. But we know that God is good and has a plan for us and we believe him. I hate everything that happened. I don't even like it. But I believe in God even when it's very difficult. I just believe it. I have to believe it, I have to believe it!
The couple raised some money through various foundations that they have spent on needy children for whom they have served all the time.
