Kurti: On June 11th, citizens separated from the regime and joined with the Movement

The candidate for prime minister from Vetevendosje, Albin Kurti, has posted on Facebook the speech he delivered before Movement activists, to an organised meeting in thanks.

Yesterday, at a festive evening, we met with activists, observers commissioners, who are the main earners for our victory. I directed to them a few words of gratitude that I am publishing here too so that they could read even those who could not come to the party last night:

Dear Movement activists,
Dear commissioners and observers of SEVEN,

Exactly four weeks ago, at exactly this hour as tonight, we received reports from you from the field, that citizens dared, that people voted with their hearts, that they did the V Movement. ETHEVEN! The largest party in Kosovo, that our political subject is the first in the country. Congratulations again and congratulations on this democratic victory for political change in the Republic of Kosovo.

Let me thank you all and all of you for your work and engagement, for your sacrifice, for your contribution to self-esteem, for every day of these years of Movement, every hour of election days, and every minute of June 11th. You even defended the will of citizens indiscriminately even the democracy of the Republic without exception.

Once upon a time, before June 11, not a few people told us that it was not worth the effort, since nothing could change. But no change is precisely due to commitment. Degrading continuedness comes from inactivity as a habit. The event brings about change. You made the difference because you with your heart defended the difference.

Dear attenders,

Movement connects people. People connected are elected by the regime. The movement unites people. People united among each other are separated from the regime. June 11, 2017, marks the historic date when citizens courageously broke up with the regime and wholeheartedly joined the Movement.

There will also be difficulties, obstacles, challenges, and other battles before us. Because we will have new results, successes, achievements, and victories ahead of us. We win, we win, we have to win, we win, because we can win. And we can win because we love Kosovo more than politicians love themselves. We can win because we love the Republic more than corrupt people want money. We can win because we love people more than careereers want the chair. More love means more communities. More communities mean more opportunities. More likely means more prosperity.

Just as you've defended your vote on June 11th, so we're all going to defend the straight path of our progressive Movement, the path of law for justice, the way of solidarity for equality, the path of development for employment, the path of the ideal for unity.

Faik Konica says “Who goes through time with happy dreams is afraid to wake up.” Citizens no longer fear. Because citizens have hearts. They also want beautiful realities, not just happy dreams. The Republic is awake and citizens are united. They stand for progressive changes. Let's not stop. New battles await us because more victories await us. New victories await us because more battles await us.
