Ksamil Island Public Property, Citizens Shouldn't Pay for Beach

The director of Albania's National Coast Agency (AKB), Auron Tare, has pressed charges towards the local governments of coastal municipalities for lack of co-operation with Albanian tourist facilities, where the latter, according to Tares, will not succeed this season, nor will vacationers guarantee proper water quality standards, as well as service from beach stations.

While the head of the UN, Tare, has expressed concern that the islands of Ksamil are being exploited for business and that, according to Tares, is illegal, Koha Ditore writes today.

While in terms of the low standard of beach quality due to water and service from beach stations, the head of the National Coast Agency, Auron Tare, says the main cause is the lack of co-operation on the part of local units.

And I think we're not on the standard that we should be, because we have the conditions we need to be on a higher level, much more that many private subjects require standards. But unfortunately, for various reasons, municipalities which have the legal obligation to raise the standard requirement for the quality of beaches have still not applied those standards required by law and by the Council of Ministers' decision on beaches, such as cleaning beaches, so very important; there is also the standard of security on the beaches”, notes Auron Tare.
