Kosovo border police, Albania's and O The SEU has organised the third simulation exercise of constant cross-border pursuit, which took place at the Border Cross Point, Morina.
According to Albania's Police, the aim of this event was to test the bilateral protocol of constant cross-border prosecution, which was negotiated and signed in 2015 between the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosovo.
“In this event participated, members of the Experts' Working Group that negotiated this agreement, representatives of the Prosecutor's and the Directorate General of Customs. During the first day of this event, participants were well acquainted with the concept of constant cross-border pursuit through experiences brought by different European countries, as well as by presentations that expounded the legal side of this aspect of police work. In addition, co-operation between the Criminal Police and the Public Order was discussed on the one hand and the Prosecution on the other regarding this aspect of police work. On the second day of the event took place in the simulation exercise, where participants were given a scenario and were asked to put it into effect at the Border Cross Point, Morine”, said the Police report.
