KFOR has undertaken a Civil and Military Co-operation event (CIMIC) in Sushica, the village of the Gracanica municipality inhabited by Kosovo's Albanian and Serb populations.
A broken sewer tube was changed to an elementary school in this village.
This project was implemented by KFOR's Joint Regional Details Centre (JRDC), in close co-operation with the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) and village representatives.
The broken channeling pipeline at the primary school playground has caused poor environment for children since January 2017.
So, JRDC, through the Slovenian Monitoring Interconnection Team (LMT), the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) and the Gracanica municipality, has bought the tube and secured the technical team for installation.
CIMAC's activities are part of initiatives carried out by KFOR in favour of the local population of all ethnicities, impartially and with deeper respect for different cultures and religious beliefs.
