On Tuesday, more than three million people are expected to follow closely the biggest spectacle of fireworks held in New York City.
Although according to the New York Police Department has no credible “threat to an attack during celebrations, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that everything will be monitored closely by counterterrorism forces as well as armed security officers.
The capital Washington also expects hundreds of thousands of people to become part of celebrations, including fireworks and a concert to be held in the American Congress environments. Last week police chief Peter Nesham said police would be on the ground, though there is no threat to the celebrations.
Meanwhile, barricades and police checkpoints are located at what is known as the national promenade.
Police in Boston announced a large presence during celebrations on the Day of Independence, even though there are no reports of security threats.
Local law enforcement authorities in co-ordination with the FBI will use fears to monitor crowds as well as activities during the Boston fireworks show.
The show takes place on the Charles River and is expected to draw up to 500,000 spectators.
