The arrests were conducted in regions of Sicily, Tuscana, Lacio, Emilia Romana, Pulia and Liguria.
The Mega operation has also led to the seizure of 42 enterprises owned by this mafia clan worth about 60m euros.
Among those arrested is Mafia boss Pietro Tagliavia, head of the Brancaccio clan and the Mafia family”Corso dei Mile”, currently under house arrest on drug trafficking charges.
The charge against 34 detainees is participation in mafia organisation, robbery, theft, corruption, responsible for violent threats and illegal weapons.
The investigation into the Palermos anti-mafia has been able to rebuild the entire mafia clan organ Brancaccio. The constituent families, the role of each member and above all, have identified the leading elements of this clan.

Thanks to cooperation with the mafia, this group of entrepreneurs could have been a national leader in the industrial consolidation sector.
