The US Declaration of Independence is probably the most important political document in the world, which defined the fate and framework for the survival and growth of this country, but is also the document that inspired the same moves for independence throughout the world.
The capital Washington also expects hundreds of thousands of people to become part of celebrations, including fireworks and a concert to be held at US Congress venues. Last week, police chief Peter Newsham said police would be on the ground, though there is no threat to celebrations.
Meanwhile, barricades and police checkpoints are located at what is known as the national promenade.
Police in Boston announced a large presence during celebrations of Independence Day, even though there are no reports of security threats.
Local law enforcement authorities in co-ordination with the FBI will use fears to monitor crowds as well as activities during the Boston fireworks show.
The show takes place on the Charles River and is expected to draw up to 500,000 spectators.
