.
Adolf Hitler's Nazi spies secretly collected information about English domestics when planning to conquer Great Britain.
German military intelligence was terrified by the state of English cities where their forces would establish garrisons. In their secret file, the Nazis had criticism of British lifestyles, describing English neighborhoods as the next -- “of miserable houses”.
“They reside in slums in poor sanitation, pollution and poor health conditions, in some cases malnourished over a long period of”, it is written among other things in the secret file.
As for English households, spies say they did not meet even half the hygienic standards of a German household. There are details on what the Nazis thought about Wales.
“Unlike other English, the Walesans are enamel and short”, the report says.
This German Military Intelligence file has 7,000 pages and was designed to be prepared when Nazi forces invaded Britain.
Only a few copies of this secret file exist. One of them has been translated into English and is located in the Oxford University Library.
